The 3rd date!
They took a leisurely walk through town and then had a picnic in the park. They shared Elliott's football blanket and a few toys. 💗
Elliott's 7th month
Elliott turned 7 months old on April 13, 2014. He is growing up so fast. In his 7th month he spent his time:
- Enjoying swim class ("swimmy swimmy class")
- Eating fruits and veggies. His favorite for a while was avocado. Then squash
- Meeting his new baby cousin Joey
- On his first date with Mila
- With a fever of 102* one weekend. This was rough
- Visiting Grandma and Grandpa's house in Rochester
- Celebrating Uncle Jeremy's birthday (and celebrating and celebrating)
- Attending his first euchre party!
- Attending his first baseball game
- Playing with toys, laughing at Griffin, and generally being an all around good boy.
Elliott still sleeps through the night (except when he is sick). He has only had breastmilk so far, no formula yet although that day is coming soon I think. He takes 6 ounce bottles and eats 1-2 ounces of fruits or veggies at every feeding. He is wearing size 4 diapers and size 6 month clothes. He is still doing great at daycare although he does not sleep there very well. Miss Amber his teacher takes great care of him and he is already very patient and independent.
Another one of Elliott's favorite things to do is spend time with his big cousin Mason. He thinks Mason is so funny and does the most interesting stuff. We all can't wait to see them grow up together. Although everyone has commented that hopefully Elliott doesn't pick up ALL of Mason's habits... ;) Mason is a really good boy and so sweet to Elliott. He brings him toys to play with and when asked even tells people his own name is Elliott. Pretty soon Mason will have a new baby of his own which could be confusing at first because I think the new baby's name will be Elliott too! Mason will be a great big brother.
Since I am so far behind on this 7 month update, the 8 month edition will be coming in just a week or so.

Elliott's first date and other weekend highlights
Elliott had his first date last Friday with his girlfriend, Mila. Let's just say it, Mila is a knock out. And Elliott knows it. Because of course they are too young to go anywhere without parental supervision, we were there and got some great photos.
The Easter Bunny came to visit my office so the kids were able to come in for an egg hunt and some fun spring time crafts. I would say this went MUCH better than the Santa thing...
From there we headed on over to Rochester to spend the weekend with Grandma Pam, Grandpa Al, and Uncle Rob. It was so cute when we arrived at their house, Uncle Rob was there talking to Elliott and Elliott was giggling and having a great time! Then they played some football. Elliott really likes his Uncle Robbie. Also this weekend, Elliott caught his first real illness. Wow. That is not an easy thing to observe as a parent! We felt so bad for the little guy. We had a fever that would just not quit! So we did a lot of this...
But despite the fact that he didn't feel good, he managed to keep a smile on his face!

This is my favorite because he has his hand on her leg and she looks a little shocked.

Fast Friends!
Last weekend Elliott was able to meet the littlest member of the Shaull/Russell/Brunmeier/Linenberg/Reed crew, Joseph Dean. He lived up to the hype, he is so cute! This means I am an aunt-cousin and Josh is an uncle-cousin. The definition of aunt-cousin or uncle-cousin is a cousin who is close enough and cool enough to be considered an aunt or an uncle.
I can't wait to watch these two grow up together! There will be so many adventures!
The initial meeting.
I think it's going well.
Momentary distraction.
Sizing up his big cousin. Probably wondering why he can't find a pair of matching socks.
Baby feet.
"I like your shirt dude"
Elliott was really into Uncle Jim.
Griffin put on some holiday pounds but that didnt stop him from supporting his team. GO GREEN!
Why do they keep taking our picture?
"Momma, can we take him home with us?"
"This here is my new cousin Joe."
"Joe, don't you worry I know just how to handle this guy."
The most precious moment of the whole weekend... they were holding hands.

Elliott's 6th Month!
February 14 - March 13, 2013
Elliott turned six months old on Thursday! It is hard to believe how fast its all going. In the last month he has really enjoyed:
He had his six month check up on Friday and he is doing great! He is maintaining his course around the 30th percentile for size. He weighs 15lbs 15oz and is 26 inches tall. He wears size 3 (size 4 as soon as the 3s run out) diapers and size 6 month clothes. I am still nursing him so he has had no formula yet. Since he is 6 months old now and his digestive system is more developed I can start to work dairy back into my system if I want to which is perfect timing because mom said the Dairy Queen in Rochester is open! And it is Shamrock Shake season... Otherwise the only other thing I have missed is pizza!
He is a very sweet little boy and we are so proud of him and how he is growing and developing. We are amazed and fascinated by him every day!

I can almost sit up on my own but after a few seconds I fall over. This was at my six month check up.

In other news, Josh and I are both happy and healthy. Work is going really well for both of us. Josh has had a very busy 2014 with many different clients and projects coming his way. My new position at National Heritage Academies has been great. I am a part of a great team and a really exciting project!
